By the way, I wonder if it's because of geography? There are a large number of different peoples in the United States but I'm always amazed at the number of different cultures coexisting in the UK. Maybe the predominant culture is not as successful at assimilation as in the United States...it's variety/diversity that inspires creativity afterall. When everyone is encouraged to do the same things all the time: eat at McDees, buy at Gap, drive SUV, everything starts to look the same.
hey, AC-- from what I've seen, european ads are usually much more subtle than ours. sometimes you can't tell, unless you concentrate, just what the ad is _for_.
here, so often, they hit you over the head with it.
